Messages are encrypted
Your messages are encrypted with AES-256 on your device before they are sent, and stay encrypted in storage. ChitChat does not currently offer end-to-end encryption — we say so plainly in the privacy policy rather than implying more.
No ads, no data sales
ChitChat has no advertising. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Contacts stay yours
To show who you know on ChitChat, phone numbers from your address book are checked against our directory. Contact names never leave your device and the numbers are not stored.
Leave whenever you like
Delete your account from inside the app, or request deletion here. Either way your profile, messages and media go.
