ChitChat
You can delete your ChitChat account and its data at any time. The fastest route is inside the app. If you have already uninstalled it, use the request form below.
Option 1 — delete it in the app

Open Settings
Tap your profile photo, then Settings.

Go to Account
Choose Account from the settings list.

Tap Delete account
Confirm when prompted. This cannot be undone.
Option 2 — request it by email
If you no longer have the app installed, send us a deletion request from the email address registered to your ChitChat account. Requests from a different address cannot be verified and will be declined.
Or write to privacy@xylvin.com from your registered address with the subject "ChitChat account deletion request". We acknowledge within 24 hours and complete deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove:
- Your profile — display name, photo and status line
- Your account record and sign-in credentials
- Your message history and the media stored with it
- Your status updates
- Your registered devices and push notification tokens
- Your privacy settings and blocked-user list
What does not get deleted
Messages you already sent stay with the people who received them. Each participant holds their own copy of a conversation, in the same way a sent email stays in the recipient's inbox. Deleting your account removes your copy, not theirs.
- Content you sent that is held in other users' conversations, as described above.
- Abuse reports filed about your account, and records we are legally required to retain, kept for as long as the law requires.
- Aggregate service counters, which identify no individual and cannot be traced back to you.
Before you go
Deletion is permanent — there is no recovery period and no way to restore a deleted account. If you only want a break, you can sign out of your devices in Settings → Account instead, and your data stays intact.
